O.k. so you all know how much I love music. Well I've really been into the whole East Coast/New York style of indie music lately and I have some bands for you to check out! Here is my top 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5. MGMT (Pronounced Management, they are a really original band that has a funky sound that still pertains to New York rock style!)
4. Animal Collective (You may need to be an experienced listener to really enjoy these guys, they are one of my favorites though, really interesting sound.)
3. Rogue Wave (Ok ok... So they aren't TECHNICALLY from New York, but they are still great guys and they put on a great show! Highly recommended.)
2. Beirut (Now here is a band with a great sound. They aren't what you'd expect me to listen to. A very interesting mixing of genres is what puts this band so high up on the list.)
1. The Strokes (WOW!!! These guys are amazing. There is nothing wrong with their sound, they look great, they have such interesting songs, and [i find this most important] they play great live in concert. I added one of their songs to my blog, I really REALLY suggest you check it out and see if you like it! I did. They currently have 3 LP's to date.. I really only recommend the first two they released, 'Is This It' and 'Room On Fire.' Those albums are pure gold!)
